Hip Hip HoorayBirthday Card

Happy Wednesday!

This card went together fairly quickly and will work nicely for a man or a teen.
The sentiment stamp was a gift so I'm not sure who it's by but it sure does make an impact!

ATC Album

Hello friends, Somewhere in the midst of several moves this summer I lost my ATC trading album. It was all but empty so not a real loss as such. Last week I finally broke down and bought a new binder.  A few hours spent with acrylic paints, markers, stamps, a rum lable and a fish pendant and voila a fun new ATC album.

Glad you stopped by today!

Repurposed Calendar - Art Journal

Hello, today's share is an art journal that spent 2015 as two  7" x 7" easel style calendars. The first step in the transformation was to take both calendars apart. Then I painted both sides of the pages with light blue and white craft paint using a variety of tools to give them lots of texture. After all pages dried I reassembled all back onto the one easel base and began to play. I really like that this journal is easy to display!

Pg1 -Song and dance collage.                                 Pg2 -Painted BG stamp, SU! sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by, Jutta

"do what makes you happy" Card

Hello crafty friends,
I've been having some fun this week playing along with several challenges. The first is the brand new LOVE Handmade cards... January Challenge in Flickr. The prompt is New Beginnings, basically anything goes. The second challenge I'm entering my card into is the Fusion Challenge . The photo is so cheery,  just what we need when everything is a shade of blue outside.

Stamps used are Darkroom Door -Fuchsia and Quietfire Design -do what makes you happy.

Northern Lights Winter Scene Card

Happy New Year!

I enjoy watching the birds outside our window and
earlier today I managed to take this photo of  a Flicker.
I only wish I was fast enough to capture him as he flew off, he had
the brightest orange on the underside of his wings.

Yesterday I found time to check out some new to me techniques on
You Tube. Today I decided to try two of them on this card below.
The background is made using the Northern Lights background technique and the
stamping is done using several techniques from Scenescapes Stamps.

Since I do not own any Scenescapes stamps I used my HA Winter scene instead.
If you look at the bottom photo you'll see that by stamping with only part of the stamp and then changing sides I was able to alter the scene. I like the way it turned out.

I'm always happy to answer any questions.
Have a crafty day!
